We had a great (but busy) Easter weekend! On Saturday, the girls and I got up in the morning and made the bunny cake I used to make with my mom when I was a kid. I just pulled chairs up to the island, and we got to work. Kendall was having a bit of a rough morning and was having random meltdowns. I set her off on a huge one when I wouldn't let her eat huge spoonfuls of frosting. She got to spend a little quality time with Daddy while Kylie helped me with the cake. Once she calmed down, she came back to help us. Until I noticed that the chocolate chips I was putting on the bow tie kept disappearing. Kendall was eating them right off the cake! Silly girl.
We got it decorated, and although it wasn't perfect, it turned out really cute. Kylie helped with it the entire time, and was especially good at decorating the ears with the pink coconut. She is such a great little assistant!

...yep, still sampling! (Forgive my gross, un-showered self!) |
After the cake was put away and the kitchen was cleaned, the girls had lunch and took a nap. While they were napping Kevin's parents arrived for the weekend. When they woke up, we spent the afternoon playing with some new things they got for Easter, went outside and colored Easter eggs.

We can't wait for Summer! (Or Spring for that matter!) |

Coloring Eggs! |
The next morning we woke up and had an Easter Egg hunt in the house (it was rainy and cold outside). Then, we got dressed, my parents arrived, and we went out to Brunch at Bravo (really good food by the way). The girls were really good at brunch (with the help of a few SmartPhones), and we all had a great time. When we got back home, the girls hung out with us for a while and we soon came to the realization that it was definitely way past nap time. Kendall started melting down again, and went right out as soon as she was in her crib. We got to enjoy some quiet time with the grandparents before everyone took off in the afternoon. Once the girls were up we played for a bit, and went to Kroger. Nothing like grocery shopping on Easter Sunday!

Happy Easter! (If anyone has tips for getting toddlers to look at the camera and smile, let me know!) |

We know how to work this thing! |
Kevin and I ordered Chinese food after the girls went to bed and just decided to relax. Neither of us was in the mood to cook after our busy weekend. Nothing like some Beef Lo Mein and Steamed Chicken and Veggies for Easter dinner!
We hope you all had a great Easter!
