Last Day!

Today is the last day of November! This means it's the end of me posting everyday. It's tough to post everyday, but I'm glad I did it. Hopefully it will help make me a better blogger/communicator!

If you've started following my blog, welcome! I hope to hear from you.

I am planning on redesigning my blog soon. If you have suggestions on who to contact, please let me know. I would love some input!

18 Month Well Baby

The girls had their 18 month well check this morning.  Same theme as every well check…they’re doing great!  Something that is always good to hear…

Kendall:

Stats:

Weight:  28lbs 11oz (93 %tile)
Height:  34.75 in (99 %tile)

Kendall is currently wearing mostly 2T clothing, a size 4 diaper, and wears a 6.5W in shoes.  Since she shot up so quickly between 12 & 15 months, we pretty much skipped 18-24 month clothes since they were too short on her.  As we were watching the girls walk around the exam room in just their diapers, I think we agreed it’s probably time to move up a size in diapers.  They currently wear Luvs, but I would love suggestions for cheap/ comparable diapers (or best places to find diapers or coupons!)

She is doing everything she is supposed to be at this point; walking, scribbling, eating with utensils, talking…(they are supposed to have a minimum of 4-6 words now, she has 50+, and is also using 2 word sentences).

The only concerns we have with her is her somewhat frequent (TMI) “squishy” poo, her spitting up all of a sudden, and her strangely strong focus on certain tasks.

The doctor explained that the poo issue is not uncommon, and is something called “diarrhea of toddlerhood”.  Awesome.   I definitely hope this is something they grow out of, and soon!  The doctor was also unconcerned with her focus.  He said it is most likely nothing more than a personality trait that will follow her throughout her life.  For example, the other night she was playing with a box of crayons and kept dumping them out and putting them back in.  This kept her busy for at least 20 minutes, which struck me as strange since Kylie has a tough time staying on one task for 2 minutes!  She also sometimes has issues transitioning from one activity to another.  She gets so “in” to a certain activity that she has a hard time (and sometimes gets mad) jumping to something new.  The doctor said this is all normal.

The only thing he was perplexed by was the random spit up.  When the girls were babies, the doctors classified them as “happy spitters” because they would spit up all the time and be unaffected by it.  For the past month, Kendall will “spit up” a few times a week after drinking water or milk.  It is usually preceded by a burp.  He thinks she may have reflux, but since it isn’t affecting her weight gain, and isn’t painful, there is no need to treat it.  He said she WILL outgrow this.  Hopefully sooner than later.

Kylie:

Stats:
Weight:  27lbs 7oz (89 %tile)
Height:   33 inches (84 %tile)

Kylie is currently wearing 18-24M or 2T clothing, a size 4 diaper, and wears a 6.0M in shoes.  I have mostly been buying her 2T stuff since she can use the extra length as well.  Some of the pants are too long, but we just cuff them, and she seems to be fine with that.

She is also doing everything she is supposed to be at this point; walking, scribbling, eating with utensils, talking…(like Kendall, she has 50+ words, and is also using 2 word sentences).  Although Kendall started talking first, Kylie has had a huge verbal explosion in the past couple weeks, and actually has more words than Kendall at this point.

The only concern we had with her is her somewhat frequent (TMI again) “squishy” poo, and her lack of milk drinking.

Again, the “diarrhea of toddlerhood” was discussed, and he isn’t concerned since her weight gain is normal.  She’s definitely slowing down though, considering she’s only gained a pound in three months.  But, she’s still definitely well above average in the weight area!

As far as the milk goes, he isn’t concerned as long as she’s getting enough calcium and fat from yogurt, cheese, and other dairy products.  She has been entertaining the idea of drinking “mulk” lately, and frequently asks for it, but barely takes a few sips.  We’ll get there…eventually!

Funny story:  Kylie loves to show off her belly and then have everyone else show their bellies.  For instance, we'll say "Where's your belly. Kylie?" and she'll pull up her shirt and pat it.  Then she'll point to either Kevin or I and say "Momma" or "Dada"...and wants us to show her our bellies.  It's quite cute.  Well she was showing off her belly in the exam room today and then points to the Pediatrician and said "ehhh!".  I told him "She wants to see your belly".  He was cracking up (and no, he didn't show it!).

When he was walking out the door, both girls yelled "Bye!" and waved at him.  Kylie may have even thrown a kiss.  They have such big personalities.

Random Thoughts...

Moms should not be allowed to get sick. I just have a minor cold right now, but, man...am I wiped out. I feel like I could go to bed and sleep for a week.

I am dying to finish the book 'Catching Fire' (second book in the Hunger Games series). I know, I am about 10 months behind on this one, but I can't believe I've waited this long to read these books. I started it Sunday night, and hope to finish tonight. Kevin and I watched the movie ( Hunger Games) a few weeks ago, and it was great. If you haven't seen it, make sure you do.

And that's today's post. I'm a thrill a minute tonight!

Funny Talkers

The girls have had a word explosion lately! They are saying so many new things every day, and also repeating a lot of what we say.

Kylie loves saying hi and bye to everyone. The other night, after we put her to bed, we heard her saying from her crib "Bye Dida, Bye Momma, Bye Doba (her name for our dog Bono), Bye Mull" (for our other dog Mullen). Yesterday when I picked them up, she yelled "Bye Bryce!" ( to our daycare providers' son). She all of a sudden LOVES saying sissy. She's always pointing to Kendall and yelling "Sissy!"

Kendall doesn't quite have a handle on the 's' sound yet, but said "Hi Ky!" to Kylie this morning. So cute. I can't remember what I said the other day, but she repeated an entire sentence of mine. Kevin and I just looked at each other shocked.

The girls have a plastic whale bath toy and Kylie is always yelling "whhhey-yull". Kendall refers to Goldfish as "Baby" or the other day as "Baby Goal Cra-ka". Too much.

If we were careful about what have been saying around them so far, we need to be EXTRA careful now. Kevin was driving them to daycare the other day and said "These people drive like junk!" All of a sudden, Kendall yelled "Junk!" from the backseat. Uh oh...

Black Friday & Cyber Monday

I have never been one of those people who gets up at 3AM to go Black Friday shopping, (or rushes to Walmart at 8PM on Thanksgiving night like this year).  I think it stems from my years of working retail (Gap /  Old Navy) and always having to work Black Friday.  The insanity takes its toll when you have to work it several years in a row.

When I woke up last Friday morning I had probably 20 emails for deals online.  I did take advantage if Tea Collection's Black Friday deal - $15 dresses and $10 leggings is an awesome price for Tea items!  I got this dress and navy blue leggings for the girls.  Super cute!

Strange enough, there seemed to be more deals on Black Friday online than Cyber Monday.  I took advantage of the 25% off sale items at Ralph Lauren today and got the girls sweaters and skirts to wear on Christmas Eve, and some snow boots, but other than that I didn't find anything fabulous.  It seemed to be that way across the board.  So much for Cyber Monday!  Guess I'll stick to my online shopping on Black Friday, and stay in the comfort of my own home...with no crowds...

Toddler-ese

We finally watched the "Happiest Toddler in the Block" by Harvey Karp this past weekend. It gives you tips and tricks for relating to your toddler, keeping them happy, and stopping tantrums.

My girls throw tantrums mostly over wanting something the other has, wanting me or Kevin to pick them up, or wanting "more" of something (crackers, goldfish, milk, etc).

After watching the DVD, the main points I took away from it is they want their issues to be acknowledged, and they want to be spoken to in a language they understand. For instance, if Kylie is upset because Kendall is playing with my tablet, I should pull her aside and say "Kylie upset, Kylie sad. Kylie want mommy's computer". Let them know that you empathize with them. Before, I would always try to re-direct. If Kylie was throwing a fit over Kendall having something she wants, I would just try to get her interested in something else. This makes them feel like you aren't acknowledging their concerns. If you were taking to an adult who was upset, you would never say "look at that tree!". They would look at you like you were crazy, and also feel like you did not care about them and whatever they are upset over. Same deal applies to a toddler, but in much simpler terms.

Toddler-ese is speaking in short one or two word sentences. This is speaking in terms they understand. You shouldn't speak to a toddler like they are a little adult, you should speak to them like they are a toddler. "Kylie sad" instead of "I know you're upset that Kendall is playing with that, but..." Way too many words for a 1-3 year old.

This is all things that make sense once you really think about them. I am lucky to have pretty good girls, but they do throw their share of tantrums. I'm eager to keep using these tips and see if they work out!

Progress

Kylie is making some progress on the milk front. She has been taking sips here and there, and even asked for 'mulk' a few times today.

Before bed tonight she took about 10-15 sips. She wasn't taking much in each sip, but it was more than I've seen her take in over two months. Maybe, just maybe, this girl will forgive us for taking away the bottle and will actually drink milk again. One can dream...

Today = Shot

So, we had today all planned out:

1PM - Leave Work
1:30PM - Get home
2:30PM - Have car packed and ready to go to my parents
3PM - Start signing refinance paperwork
4PM - Leave house with dogs in tow to pick up the girls
4:30PM - Get on the road to my parents
6-6:30 PM - Arrive at parents / feed girls
7:30PM - Put girls to bed / eat dinner / make pies with mom

...sounds perfect, right (and feasible)??

This is what happened:

1PM  -  Leave work
1:40PM - Arrive home
1:45PM - Smash Kevin's Disney mug all over the kitchen floor while unloading dishwasher
2:15PM - Mortgage company calls.  The title company "forgot" our appointment.  Can we re-schedule for 7PM?
2:30PM - Mortgage company calls again.  Oh, no...they didn't forget.  They may be a little late, but they'll be here.
3PM - Kevin leaves to pick girls up
4PM - Because of insane traffic, Kevin finally gets home with the girls (still no word from mortgage co or notary)
4:30PM - Notary calls -  he still has not recieved the paperwork, but will come as soon as he gets it.
4:45PM - Bathe girls and dress in jammies.  We're planning on leaving by 6 (hopefully)
5:10PM - Notary calls - he's on his way
5:45PM - Notary arrives
7:10PM - Notary leaves
7:15PM - Call parents and tell them we're just coming up tomorrow.
7:30PM - Put girls to bed.

UGH!  So much for my perfectly laid plans...

Paci Nazi

The girls still take pacifiers (at 18 months). After their first birthday, I really started limiting how much they got their pacifiers at home (mostly only for naps, bedtime, and in the car). They also got them when they were sick. After the Disney trip, i cut pacifiers at home completely (except for naps and bedtime). Daycare, unfortunately, was a different story. Although I told them I really wanted to wean them, they had them in about 75% of the time when I would pick them up. It's funny, during their last couple weeks there, Kylie would actually hand me her paci right when I walked in. It was almost like she knew she was not supposed to have it.

Things have gotten better since they moved to a new daycare. She only gives them their pacifiers for naps, and keeps them out of sight the rest of the time. That is the mentality we try to use; "out of sight, out of mind".

This weekend they both handed me their pacifiers when I asked for them after their naps, so we are definitely making progress. But, there are still the cases when they'll find a rogue pacifier under their cribs and flip the 'flip' OUT when you take it. Always a work in progress...

iPhone Blogger Biff and Cozy Coupes

I typed a long post out on the Blogger app on my iPhone and went to add a picture, and it lost the entire post.  Stupid phone. Anyway, since I don't have the energy to re-type it (and I have to make some diaper cream), I decided to post this video of the girls going nowhere in their cozy coupes.  We've had the floorboards in all summer, but thought we'd take them out and see if the girls could move the cars themselves.  Let's just say it is definitely a work in progress!

New Page

I just posted a new page in the tabs along the top,  This contains monthly pictures of the girls from birth to current (18 months will be coming soon!).

http://makeitadoublek.blogspot.com/p/monthly-pictures.html

I only did the onesie numbers from month 6-12 (in true MoM style, I was late to the game on this fad).  I also posted one of their cake smash pictures as their one year photo instead. It was much, MUCH cuter than anything we took!

Enjoy :)

Dining Out

We just left Ruby Tuesdays, one of our favorite restaurants to go with the girls. Usually they'll color, eat, and drink in peace (well, as peaceful as 18 month olds can be). Tonight they were in booster seats for the first time. I don't know if it was the boosters, but they were dropping everything, banging blinds, letting out a couple rogue yells, etc. It definitely wasn't one of our more relaxing nights out.

Luckily, we didn't have to leave or anything, but it was a bit challenging. I'll definitely be asking for high chairs for a little while. I think they need to be kept a bit more contained!

Advice for keeping toddlers happy while eating out is always appreciated!

Tips and Tricks: What We Learned from Taking Two Toddlers to Disney World

Air Travel

•    Bring snacks.  Lots of snacks.  We brought a few varieties of Goldfish, yogurt bites, and crackers.  It helped keep them occupied throughout the flights.
•    DO NOT give your kids Benadryl or any other medication.  We did not do this, but our pediatricians also warned us against it.  They told us it could backfire and make kids more hyper.  We definitely were not looking for that result!
•    If you fly during time that is not optimal for naps, make sure your children are well rested before getting on the plane.  Our girls typically nap from 12:30 – 3 PM (give or take a ½ hour on either end).  Our flight out was at 2:30, so we knew we would be leaving for the airport right around the time they would normally go down for a nap.   To combat this, we woke them up at about 5AM and put them down for a nap at 10:30.  They slept almost 2 hours, and were ready to go once we got them in the car.  They even cat napped for 30-45 minutes on the second flight.
•    On the way home, we flew somewhat during normal nap time.  Both girls fell asleep on the flight from Orlando to Nashville.  Kylie slept about 2 hours, and Kendall a little over an hour.  If they fall asleep on you, make sure you find a somewhat comfortable position…and then…don’t move!
•    Give them a pacifier, bottle, or sippy cup during takeoff and landing to help aid with ear popping.  We ended up just using their pacifiers, and we only had one mini-meltdown during descent on our flight from Columbus to Baltimore.   I don’t know if it was ear related, or if it was just Kylie being Kylie.
•    If you have an iPad, tablet, or Smartphone, make sure you load lots of kid apps or TV shows on it.  We barely pulled out any of our other toys because technology seemed to keep them most entertained.
•    We flew with the girls as lap children, and were lucky that they did pretty well.  There were several open seats on our flights out there.  When we got to the gate we were told that we could have used their car seats free of charge because the girls are still under 2 years old.  Always check with the airline counter at the airport about what their policies are (not the reservations people).
•    With young ones, I always recommend taking a stroller.  Since we have two children, a stroller was a must, but I believe it is definitely an airport essential.

Hotel Stays

•    If you have the option, try to keep the kids in separate sleeping areas than you use.   When we got to both the Hyatt and the Animal Kingdom Lodge, we set the girls’ cribs up in a little hallway area, and it worked perfectly.  They couldn’t see us at all when they slept, and had no issues sleeping through the night, except…
•    If your kids are used to white noise (or some type of noise, music, etc) while they sleep, there are plenty of apps you can download on your Smartphone or iPad.  This worked great for us, EXCEPT when we forgot to plug the tablet in.  Make sure it’s plugged in, because when it shuts off, EVERYONE will wake up!
•    Bring as many comforts from home as you can.  We brought the stuffed animals and blankets the girls had in their cribs at home, and I think it helped them feel more comfortable sleeping away from home.
•    Have food on hand in your room.  I called the Garden Grocer about a week before we arrived, and had food delivered on the day we checked in.  It worked out perfectly!  I definitely recommend them.  They deliver your food to bell services, and text you when it is at your resort.  You can then go pick up your food at your convenience!  I definitely over-ordered, but I’d rather over-order than under-order!

The Parks

•    Pack plenty of snacks and water for the kids.  Also, for those with younger kids, get some kind of sippy harness (if such a thing exists).  My girls loved to chuck their sippies out of the stroller on an hourly basis.
•    Get stroller fans!  We loved ours, but unfortunately one either got knocked off or stolen on our last day.  They definitely help keep the little ones cooler.
•    For those with walkers, let them out of the stroller often to walk around.  My girls do not like being in a stroller for long lengths of time, so letting them out fairly frequently helped curb some fussiness.
•    Disney has lots of things to do in air-conditioned buildings.  Definitely something to take advantage of during hot days.
•    For those whose kids still use pacifiers, keep them on hand for the parks.  My girls have only been getting them for naps and bedtime for the most part, but having them in the parks helped us get through some long days with minimal tantrums.
•    Stroller naps are great if you can get them to do it, but there are some days where you may just need to go back to the room.  We did this a few times, and getting a good nap in a crib helped tremendously with their moods.
•    Don’t over schedule.  We always had a game plan, but also knew that not every day was going to go according to plan.  Be flexible.
•    Watch your kids and follow their cues (tired, hungry, scared, etc).  It will make life easier on everyone if you don’t fight them!
•    Introduce them to characters, but don’t force them to interact if they don’t want to.  Kendall loved all the characters, while Kylie liked them from a distance.  Up close, not so much.  It was the exact opposite with the princesses.  Kylie LOVED them, and Kendall was more ‘meh’ about the whole thing.

The one thing to remember more than anything else: roll with the punches, and make sure to have fun.  There were definitely some challenging times throughout this vacation, but we all survived, and truly had a wonderful time!

I'm going through some pictures and found this one from last Halloween.  Look at my itty bitties...

I heart the pissed off look on Kendall's face!

Milestones...

Developmental milestones are hard.  I think we all look at the list of things children should be doing at a certain age and flip out because they aren’t doing A, B and C yet.  I understand that for sure.  At 8 months old, Kendall could sit up, pull to a stand, and belly crawl, but was unable to roll from back to front.  One day when I was watching her getting frustrated and struggling trying to roll over, I knew I had to call the pediatrician. She was diagnosed with torticollis. Within a month she was setup with Physical Therapy through a county program called Early Intervention.    She flourished in PT, was rolling shortly after.  Regular crawling and walking followed right behind.

The girls (at almost 18 months) have 40 to 50 words.  They are also able to string two words together.  “Hi, momma”, “Bye, dada”,“Elmo Book”, “More cracker”, etc.  They understand a lot of what you say and can respond if you ask them a question.  They know what noises a cow, sheep, horse, and monkey make, and will usually tell you if you ask them.  I like to think they are a little advanced for their age, but they are probably pretty well on target.  They understand most matching and shape toys.  Kendall was actually matching puzzle pieces at 14-15 months.
I’d like to think that they are just geniuses (and maybe they are!), but I think it’s also because of how much they enjoy books, how much we talk to them, and being in a daycare facility for as long as they were.  Sure, they get to watch some TV *gasp* but it hasn’t halted their verbal or expressive language at all.  Their TV time is definitely limited, and Kylie isn’t even that interested.  (Kendall on the other hand LOVES it…so we definitely have to limit TV time with her).  In my opinion, everything is ok in moderation.  They aren’t going to suddenly stop talking because they watched a half hour of Mickey Mouse Clubhouse or YoGabba Gabba, and if it gives me a few minutes to clean the kitchen, unload the dishwasher, or fold some laundry, then all the better.
Development is going to be different in each child.  Always trust your gut, but try not to compare what your child is doing to what your BFFs child is doing.  It, most likely, will not be the same…

Easter books in November - totally normal...

I'm Kind of a Big Deal...

I'm famous.  No really, I am.  (Just kidding!  Well, kinda...)  When I was pregnant with the girls, I found out there was going to be a show on Lifetime filmed at the hospital I was delivering at.  I was so excited to see it.  I DVR'd the premiere of "One Born Every Minute", and was watching it one evening when Kevin got home from work.  He sat down and watched the rest of the episode with me, and was like, "Don't watch that show without me!".  We would always crack up because my OB was one of the doctors on the show.  It was great to be able to see him delivering babies.  It gave me a "glimpse" into what I could expect.  We joked on how funny it would be if I were to be on that show.  I mean, really...me delivering babies on National Television???  HAHAHA!

Fast forward to April of 2011.  We found out they were going to be filming Season 2 between the end of April and the beginning of June.  The same day we found out, I also had a doctors appointment.  Pretty much as soon as my doctor walked into the exam room, he asked if we were interested in being on the show.  What the heck?!?  Why not???  I mean, there were 100 couples that were going to be filmed, and only 30 picked, so our chances weren't that great anyway.  We're pretty open-minded, so we decided to go for it.

Well, we were filmed, and we found out in July that we were selected to be on the show.  The premiere was at the end of November (2011), and we were slated to be on episode #7.  After episode #6, (January 2nd, I believe) they "paused" the season.  (er, cancelled).  Anyway, they did throw us a bone and aired our episode on a random Thursday morning in May.  We have our episode still saved on our DVR, a DVD of our episode, and a book autographed to Kendall and Kylie by Jamie Lee Curtis.  Unfortunately, they never released the four remaining episodes to iTunes or Hulu, and they have not re-run (at least not that I am aware of).  I wish they would, but oh well.  What can you do?

It was a great experience.  Other than someone coming in to photograph us every now and then, and various people coming in to check our mics, it really wasn't intrusive.  I even forgot about the cameras after a while.  Actually, when I was in process of pushing two babies out, the cameras were the last thing on my mind.  (I will post a birth story here in the near future).

Anyway, my one proof that we were on TV is that our pictures are still up on the Lifetime website.  Under the season two pictures we are in #17, 21 and 22.  This one is by far my favorite!  So, yeah, we're kind of a big deal...

Professional Pictures

Today we had pictures taken for Christmas cards by the same person who took the girls' one year pictures. (Two of which are posted in the banner!). She does amazing work.

Anyway, the girls were not interested AT ALL on getting their pictures taken. She had a rocking horse, candy canes, huge ornaments, and Kendall just clinged to Kevin and I or cried for most of the session. Both girls barely cracked a smile. She was able to get a few pictures, so I hope they turn out ok. Elmo may be making an appearance in our Christmas cards this year!

The worst part is the photographer told us the hardest age to get good pictures is usually around 2 or 3. Sigh...looks like we still have at least another year of "fun" family portraits.

The "best" part was when we got back into the car and Kendall decided to try her candy cane (loved it) and was all smiles. Seriously?!?!

Any tips for keeping little ones happy and engaged during photography sessions are welcome!

Here is Kylie in her cute outfit from today.

Best laid plans

So, today we had plans to hit up the sale at Stride Rite first thing this morning and head to the zoo for a few hours in the afternoon.

We got out the door before 9AM, went to Panera, Kohl's, then Stride Rite. The girls were so good. Kylie usually freaks out when her feet get measured, but didn't seem to care this time! We got home, got them lunch, and they went down for a nap. Unfortunately, they didn't go immediately to sleep, so waking them up at 2 was not an option, unless we wanted two pissed off little ladies. We ended up getting out the door and over to the zoo by 3:30.  When we walked up to the gate, we saw that the zoo closed at 4. Whomp whomp...

We ended up going to a park for a little while, and had a great time. Moral of the story??? Always check schedules before you leave the house, and have a fun backup plan!

Leaving the zoo.  Sigh...
Fun in a field

Whoa!

Stair Climbing

The girls were never big stair climbers until about a month ago. In prep for Kevin's business trip next month, I told him we needed to get them used to climbing stairs. I'm getting to the point where carrying both of them gets tough.

Well, we showed them one time and since then they have been unstoppable. All we have to do is say "let's go upstairs!" and they're off!

Now, of course, we have to be super careful and put a gate up. All they want to do is go up!

Moo Baa Lalala

The girls love the book Moo Baa Lalala by Sandra Boynton. They know the words by heart, and sometimes even help us recite them. Yes, it is quite adorable...

Day 6 – Ducks and Princesses (Epcot)

We got up on our last full day, and decided we were going to head to Epcot for the day.  None of us had gotten the chance to ride Soarin’, and we had reservations that evening at Akershus, so a day at Epcot made perfect sense.

We got out of the room later than planned, and got over to Epcot right as the girls were starting to get tired (in other words, not so perfect timing…)  We walked around for a bit and grabbed some fastpasses for Soarin’ while trying to get the girls to nap in the stroller.  I ended up walking at least 2 miles (no joke) around the Innoventions Fountains.  Kylie fell asleep pretty easily, but Kendall was stubborn.  Finally she gave up and passed out.

Beginning my trek!

AWW

While I was trekking around the fountains, my parents went to go see Captain EO.  When they came out, they were on snooze watch while we rode Spaceship Earth one last time (it’s Kevin’s absolute favorite.)  When we were done on Spaceship Earth, it was time to use our fastpasses for Soarin’.  My parents told us to go ahead while they stayed with the girls (who were still sleeping).

Soarin’ is one of my favorites.  If you haven’t ridden it before, try to get seated in the first row in Section B.  This gives you the ultimate hang-gliding feeling.  You cannot see anyone else except for the people in your own row.  The first time we rode it, we asked to be seated in that section, but haven’t gotten the chance since then.  When we came out, Kendall was awake and Kylie was still asleep.  It was my parents turn to ride Soarin’.  We made sure to warn my mom (who has a pretty big fear of heights) that she may want to close her eyes during certain parts of the ride. She ended up loving it!

Kylie soon awoke, so we went to the Sunshine Seasons CafĂ© to get lunch.  We always have great food there, definitely one of our favorite quick service places!  My parents joined us for a quick bite, and then we were off to the World Showcase.

We went to Mexico first and all rode the Grand Fiesta Tour.  The girls LOVED it.  It was definitely their favorite ride.  They are obsessed with Donald Duck and would point and yell “Duck” each time he would pop up.  It was hilarious.

LOL at this face.

We started walking around the entire World Showcase, saw Donald Duck in Mexico and had to get our picture taken.

Ducks!
We continued on and got a chance to see the band in Morocco (the girls love music, so they were big fans of this).  We also decided to show my parents the Yacht Club and Beach Club hotels, so we went out the back exit of the World Showcase and walked around a bit back there.

Supa-star!

Yes, more ducks!

They kept running in and out of the restroom.  It was obviously the most fun ever!

Ahh.  The Kylie face...
Once back in, we went through a couple gift shops, saw the Three Caballeros again, and went to dinner with the Princesses.  It was a lot of fun!  I was a bit apprehensive about it since the girls are so young, but they really enjoyed it.  Kylie surprised me and was actually the one who LOVED the princesses.  It was quite adorable.

Mmmm. Dessert
When we were done with dinner, we headed back to the resort to get packed up.  After putting the girls to bed, we all sat around and had a glass of wine, and reflected on a great trip.  We headed to bed a bit earlier since we had to catch the Magical Express at 7AM (ugh) the next morning.

I’ll do one last post on our travels home and some tips, tricks, and words of advice I learned while travelling with young toddlers.
