Few Things...

Yesterday we started instituting 'Operation No More Paci'.  They have been without them at Rachel's for well over a month now, and have done great.  They don't ask for them, cry, or really seem to miss them.  At home it's a different story.  Both of them (especially Kendall) will FLIP out if we don't give them their paci's as soon as they are in their cribs.  I want paci's gone before 2, so this week I bought them pillows and ballerina bear pillowcases in hopes to use these as a replacement.  Yesterday was the test.  We put a hole in each paci and put them in bed.  They were both enthralled with their pillows, but still asked for their paci's.  We gave them each their paci and said goodnight.  Kylie started FLIPPING out about 45 minutes after going to bed.  Kevin went up and gave her a 'talking to', re-tucked her in, and said goodnight.  She was out minutes later.  Kendall still had her paci in her mouth when I went to check on them before I went to bed last night, but did not have it in when we woke her up this morning...

Tonight was much of the same.  Kendall looked at Kevin right after we put them in their cribs, held out her paci and said "Daddy, fix it."  Sweet girl.  Kylie threw another fit, and my 'talking to' was unsuccessful.  Kevin had to go up a little while later, and she went right to sleep.  I guess Daddy has the magic sleep touch! I will be honest though, as much as I want paci's gone, there is a part of me that's really sad about it.  I think they are so sweet with their paci's in their beds.  It feels like we're letting go of the last 'baby' part of them.

Kendall peed on the potty again today!  Yay!  She finally got a sticker on her chart at daycare.  Rachel said she was so proud of herself!  She said Kylie went back and forth for being happy for Kendall to being upset that she wasn't the one who peed on the potty.  She'll get there!  She's definitely interested, but just hasn't actually gone on the potty yet.  She HAS gone on the floor twice this week though.  Good times...

Some pics from tonight...
